Buried:
- Died at 9:55 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Dixon Memorial Hospital, Denham Springs. He was 73, a resident of Walker, a native of Bayard, Fla., a World War I veteran and a retired ironworker.
Body at Hollabaugh-Spindle Funeral Home, Denham Springs, until 3 p.m. Sunday. Religious services at Walker Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Herman Wilkerson. Interment in Stafford Cemetery, Corbin.
Survived by wife, Mrs. Camilla Stafford Wascom, Walker; four sons, Harold L., Alex L., Steve W. and Gerald F. Wascom, all of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Yvonne Day, Titusville, Fla., Mrs. Roy L. (Jean) Morgan, Baton Rouge and Mrs. Charles (Hilda) Patterson, Covington; sister, Mrs. Nick Sciemeca, Baton Rouge; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Walker Baptist Church, Odd Fellows Lodge No. 8, Denham Springs, and American Legion Post in Denham Springs.
Pallbearers: H. H. Forbes Jr., Sammy Sciemeca, Wayne Stafford, Whitfield Wascomb, Clyde Cockerham and Percy Wascom.
