Viewing his uniform photo, the number of his regiment appears on his collar and his sergeant stripes appear on his sleeves. Arrived in the U.S. on April 19, 1913, at the age of 24, landing in Ellis Island. He was living in Livien, France and the port of departure was Le Havre, Seine-Inferior, France. Spelling of his name at that time was Henri Cuvillier. His sailing ship was The La Provence. Built by Chantiers de Penhoet, St. Nazaire, France, 1906. 13,753 gross tons; 627 (bp) feet long; 65 feet wide. Steam triple expansion engines, twin screw.
