- Funeral services for Mr. Charles Hilbert (Bill) Stafford, 61, of Jonesboro, Route 2, who died Saturday evening of a heart attack were held this (Wednesday) afternoon at Gray Methodist Church. Rev. Virgil Anderson officiated. Burial was in Gray Cemetery. Dillow-Taylor was in charge.
Mr. Stafford was a county employee and a member of the Christian Church. He is survived by the wife, Mrs. Almeda Smith Stafford and a son, Ronnie, of the home and two daughters, Mrs. Geneva Gouge of Erwin and Mrs. Delma Rose of the U.S. Army in Germany; his father, Mrs. John Stafford of Jonesboro, Route 2, and two sisters, Mrs. Nina Bacon of Jonesboro, Route 5, and Mrs. Mary Gray of Kingsport, Route 1.
