  First wife of John W Priest and mother of their only child Franklin G. They were married in 1835 and she died at the age of 29 years. Her name is inscribed on John's stone with the notation that she is buried in Parishville New York. Married in Parishville, New York, Aug. 27, 1835, to John W Priest. In 1835, John and Olive made a wagon journey, interrupted by a passage on the Erie Canal, to Montgomery Ala., that southern city being selected mainly on account of the delicate state of Olive's health. Mr. Priest engaged in the stove business and worked at the tinner's trade until it became evident that his wife could not long survive, and they returned to New York, where she died May 14, 1840, leaving one child Franklin G., who died in his fourth year.
