Mary Patrick Roundtree, 97, widow of Ollie M. Patrick and Ishmael Roundtree, passed away 10:50 am Wednesday at the Stanton Nursing Center.
A native of Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late Ballard and Dora Williams Stafford. Mary was a homemaker and a seamstress who made exceptional wedding dresses. Mary was also a member of El Bethel Methodist Church and First Church of God on Colby Rd.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Rev. Roger Bitner of Toronto, ON Canada; one son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Patricia Patrick of Chesterfield, VA; four grandchildren, Bryan Patrick of Chester, VA, Tammy Davidson of Richmond, VA, Brett Patrick of Rock Hill, SC, and Anthony Burton of Richmond, VA; five great grandchildren; one sister Blanche Smith of Mt. Sterling; one step-daughter, Gail(Jim)Swafford of Clark Co.; one step-daughter-in-law Glenda Roundtree of Winchester; a step-son-in-law, Dale Napper of Winchester; a number of step-grand and step-great-grandchildren and a special friend Jimmy Roundtree of Clay City.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Meredith Patrick; three sisters, Neva Clay Lykins, Mergie Kirkpatrick, and Marie Raya; two brothers Robert Stafford and Ballard Stafford Jr., a step-son, Ronnie Roundtree and a step-daughter, Wilma Napper.
Services will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Roger Bitner. Burial will follow at the Winchester Cemetery.
