Buried:
- A retired millwright superintendent and member of Millwright Union Local No. 720, he died Sunday, Jan. 19, 1997, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 68, a resident of Krotz Springs and native of Walker. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 2 p.m. to 9 p.m Monday. Visiting at First Baptist Church, Krotz Springs, 9:30 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery, Krotz Springs.
Survived by wife, Rosalie Alello Wascom, Krotz Springs; five daughters, Cheryl W. LeJeune and Vicki W. Barbay, both of Baton Rouge, Debra Kuhn Pate and Denise W. Bourgoyne, both of Krotz Springs, and Kathy W. Williams,Baton Rouge; two sons, Alex L. Wascom Jr., Lacombe, and David J. Wascom, Albany; two sisters, Hilda Patterson, Mississippi, and Jean Morgan, Baton Rouge; two brothers, Gerald Wascom, Walker, and Steve Wascom, Mississippi; and 17 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, Ivy and Camilla Wascom; a brother, Harold Wascom and a sister, Yvonne Day.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Barbay Jr., Michael Kuhn II, Jack Wascom, Gerald Day, Neil Orange and Noel Youngblood.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Krotz Springs, and Zachary-Taylor VFW Post.
