  TUPPER LAKE FREE PRESS WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 11, 1985 page 3 Ernest R. Stafford dies Sunday, Sept. 1 Ernest R. Stafford, 72, of 16 Lake St., Tupper Lake, died on Sunday, Sept. 1 at Saranac Lake General Hospital where he had been admitted on Friday. Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 5 at the Schauman Funeral Home, Rochester and interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in that city. He was born in Rochester on Feb. 16, 1913 and was employed there for 26 years, before moving to Tupper Lake last November to spend his retirement years. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle (Richardson) Stafford, Tupper Lake; his sons and daughter-in-law, Richard E. and Brenda Stafford and Albert R. Stafford; his daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores and Robert Lester, Diane and Daniel Rock, and Patricia Ann Stafford; 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, all of Rochester.
