Ada Frances Stafford, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home Chapel in Kernersville by the Rev. Bobby Stafford. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
She was born September 27, 1919, in Guilford Co., to the late Charlie Eugene and Lelur May Pitts Stafford. Frances grew up and worked on the family farm raising tobacco and vegetables. After the farm years, to help send her son through college, Frances worked for Morgan's Poultry. Later, she retired from Burlington Industries. A life long seamstress, Frances sewed for family, friends, and did alterations for Modern Cleaners well into her eighties.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Hugh, Elmer, Ray, and Williard.
Surviving are her son, Gene Stafford of Colfax; two sisters, Annalee Reid of Kernersville, and Dallas Duncan of High Point.
