Donald R. Stafford Sr.
On Friday, December 5, 2014, Donald R. Stafford, Sr.
went to his heavenly father.
He was born September 24, 1926, in Cambridge Springs, Pa., son of May Yokes and Bart Stafford. He married Donna Feldt on August 12, 1950. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII and the Korean War. He retired from American Meter in 1988, as a manager of parts and service and was a consultant with the company after retirement. Don was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening, horses, dogs, and his grandchildren. Don is survived by his wife, Donna, having been married for 64 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Lori (Richard) Gajdowski of Columbus, Ohio; sons, Donald Jr. (Pat) of Papillion, Neb., Craig (Darlene) of North East, Pa., Chris, Sr. of Charleston, S.C., and Scott (Shannon) of Chesapeake, Va.; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a half sister, Cheryl Heberle (Bob). Don was the father of identical twin boys, grandfather of two sets of identical twin girls, and great-grandfather of identical twin girls. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Road, on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Further visitation will be held at Faith Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Rev. David Laakso. Full military honors will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery, conducted by Millcreek Post 773.
