Obituary: Death Claims Mrs. Agnes Lee Stafford. Wife of Erie Court Tipstaff Succumbs to Illness. Last Thursday, death claimed Mrs. Agnes Lee Stafford, wife of Edwin Z. Stafford, tipstaff of Common Pleas Court at her residence on Peach street, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Stafford, the daughter of the late William and Jeanette Gourley Lee, was born and spent her early life in Waterford township. In 1900 she was united in marriage to Edwin Z. Stafford, to whom she was a devoted wife, and all of their long and happy married life was lived in Erie. She is survived by her husband and two step-children, Mrs. Florence McReynolds, of Erie, and Sydney H. Stafford, of Chicago, to whom she was a loving mother; six grandchildren, three brothers, Wallace and John Lee, of Waterford, and George Lee of San Francisco, one niece, Mrs. O. J. Robinson, of Erie and three nephews, William and Harold Lee of Erie, and Laurence Lee of Oil City. Many friends paid their last respects to the deceased at the Sanford funeral home in Erie, until Saturday when the remains were removed to the home of W. Wallace Lee in Waterford, where funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00. Interment in Waterford Cemetery.
