Obituary:
- MARSHALL --Services for John A. Boerboom of Marshall will be held today (May 10, 1999) 10:30 a. m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic church in Marshall. Visitation is a Rehkamp Funeral Home is at 8:30 a. m. until the funeral. Burial will be at St. Eloi Catholic Cemetery in Ghent.
Mr. Boerboom died at Weiner Memorial Nursing Home in Marshall on Friday (May 7, 1999)
He was born January 5, 1914 to Jacob and Louise (DeWisperaeler) Boerboom in Ghent. He attended school at St. Eloi's and in New Ulm. He and Ethel Stafford were married on June 4, 1940 in St. Eloi's Church in Ghent. The couple farmed in the Ghent area until his retirement in 1976, when they moved to Marshall. He was active member of Holy Redeemer Church. He enjoyed rolle bolle, golf, fishing and playing cards with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife; son Bennet of Marshall; daughters, Lorette Danielowski of Myertown, PA. ;And Doris Hughes of Balaton, MN; brothers, Edward of Ghent and Gerald and Vincent, both of Marshall, and sisters, Geraldine Carrow of Marshall and Bertha DeCamer of Ghent.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Michael; and his bothers Henry, August, Bill and Harry. He was Farmer and owned a farm in the area of Ghent Minnesota. Ethel Sindrilla STAFFORD and John A. BOERBOOM had the following children: All Living
