Alta(Alice) Marie Wood, 74, widow of Wallace S. Wood, Chippewa Twp., R.D.1, Beaver Falls, died Wednesday afternoon in Beaver Valley General Hospital. Born in Brownsville, Janurary 24, 1890, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Hulda Ross. (these are the adoptive parents.) Birth parents were Jesse & Olive (Michel) Twigg.
A former resident of Eastvale, she was a Member of the Eastvale Reformed Presbyterian Church, and secretary of the Women's Missionary Society.
Surviving are three sons, Fred E. of Chippewa, Vernon L.of Beaver Falls, and Raymond F.of New Brighton; two sisters, Mrs. William Brewer, Pittsburgh,and Mrs. W.F. Herron, Ashland, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
