Obituary:
- 3/24/2002 - Virginia M. Keefe, 87, of Heritage Green Health Care Center, formerly of 5935 Stedman-Magnolia Road, Mayville, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday (March 24, 2002) in the nursing home. A native of Jamestown, she was born May 28, 1914, the daughter of Lee and Johannah Kleinsang Stafford. She was the widow of Donald E. Keefe, whom she married Nov. 1, 1935, and who died Nov. 7, 2001. She was a 1932 graduate of Lakewood High School and was the deli supervisor for former Super Duper Markets, retiring in 1976. She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and the Sunshine Club in Sherman. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing and ceramics. She loved her family very much. She is survived by four daughters: Sally Blakeslee of Panama, Vicki Acquisto of Stow, Sue Nelson of Commercial Point, Ohio, and Sherry Fitzgerald of Trumansburg, N.Y.; two sons: Don Keefe of Stedman and Tim Keefe of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 23 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Randall Nelson, her son-in-law and pastor of Faith Baptist Church, Commercial Point, Ohio, will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County.
