Paul F. Stafford, 69, of 624 E. 23rd St., Owensboro, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 1996, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Owen County, was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was retired as a security guard from Kentucky Utilities in Carrollton and was formerly employed at both V.E. Anderson Mfg. and Can-tex. His son, Paul Garland Stafford, died June 11, 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Enrestine Isbill Stafford; two daughters, Jane Lee of Owensboro and Vickie Murphy of Salt Lake City; three stepsons, Buck Isbill and Tom Isbill, both of Knottsville, and Robert Isbill of Owensboro; five stepdaughters, Libby Ann Johnson of Philpot, Mary Robey of Lewisport, Nancy Misenhelder of Centertown, Theresa Settles of Owensboro and Charlotte Isbill at home; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Minnie Lee Jones of Louisville and Martha Compton of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Services are 1 p.m Monday at James H. Davis Memorial Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in the Isbill Family Cemetery in Knottsville. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to American Cancer Society, 2229A New Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303-1308. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
