  On 27 July 2010, James Snyder provided the following obituary for Minnie Albert Turpin; Mrs. Minnie Albert Turpin, 76, of 1327 Campbell Ave, SW, died early Wednesday morning in a local hospital. She was the widow of Clyde C. Turpin and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mildred T. Blevins, of Roanoke and one grandson, Alton E. Blevins of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held in West End United Mehodist Church at 2PM Friday by Dr. John Wesley Newman with burial in the Staffordsville Cemetery in Giles County. Arrangements by Oakey's Funeral Home, Roanoke.
