  OBITUARY Source: Va Leader - 10/23/1996 GRACIE HOLT VEST, age 88, of White Gate, Virginia died Monday October 14, 1996 in a Bluefield, West Virginia hospital. She was born September 30, 1908 at Staffordsville, Va, the daughter of the late David and Mary Stafford Holt. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel J. Vest; a son David C. Vest; a daughter, Alice V. Townley; a grandson Samuel T. Burnette and two brothers: Egar and Ernest Holt. She is survived by three daughters and four sons-in-law: Clara and Robert Bell, Newberryport, Mass.; Bettie and Rodney Morehead of Bland, Va.; Martha and Donald Burnette of Pulaski, Va.; and R. Blaine Townley of Bland.; one sister-in-law, Elsie W. Holt of Pembroke; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside services were held Wednesday, October 16 at the Stinson Cemetery, White Gate with the Rev. James Witten officiating.
