  WHEATON, IL - Alberta Rae Stafford, nee Grass, 97, died in Wheaton, IL, on Feb. 18th, 2011. She was born in Worthington, IN, on Feb 19, 1913. She married Jim stafford on Jan. 17th, 1943, who later died in New Guinea in May, 1944, while in the Army serving our country. She was the daughter of the late Sarah Ray Talley Grass and Benjamin Grass. She is survived by her two nephews, Thomas Grass and William Grass and others. Alberta lived in Wheaton, IL, was a graduate of Western State University, Colorado; Wheaton College and Moody Bible Institute. She was a public school teacher, a serious student of the Bible and a devout Christian. Her life's verse is Phil. 3:10 - "That I may know hime." The service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Worthington Cemetery, Worthington, IN, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL.
