Hattie Hunt
DENTON | Hattie Styers Hunt, 92, of Briggs Road, died Tuesday, March 8, 20 05, at Lexington Health Care.
The funeral will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, where s he was a member, by the Rev. Roy Queen. Interment will follow in the chur ch cemetery.
Mrs. Hunt was born in Davidson County on June 13, 1912, to Abram Columb us and Pallie Hardister Styers. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hunt married Rob ert Lindsay Hunt, who died July 7, 2001. She was also preceded in dea th by three sisters, Sadie Gerringer, Vera Owen and Ethel Browning.
Surviving are two daughters, Joan Cook and her husband, Guy, and Dare Bail ey and her husband, Mickey, all of Lexington; four grandchildren, Guyla Ke pley and her husband, Greg, Lisa Stafford and her husband, Colen, Linds ay Bailey and Eric Bailey; three great-grandchildren, Hayley Stafford, Hol den Stafford and Geordon Kepley; two brothers, Paul Styers and his wife, M yrtle, and Arvil Styers and his wife, Peggy, all of Lexington; and a siste r, Mattie Styers Cook of Elon.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Briggs Funeral Ho me in Denton and other times at the home of a daughter, Joan Cook, on Palm er Road.
