We have found a marriage record for Rachel Curry and William Gray on Feb 1 3, 1810
in NC (I believe it was either Forsyth or Guilford county). We are hoping
that this Rachel and Wm will be our own ancestors, but wonder if there
is anyone out there who have this couple in their family line.
I descend
from William "Pinkney" Gray (b 1/8/1824) who married Sarah Stanley and
later moved to Indiana. His father's name was evidently unreadable in
Quaker minutes, but his mother was Rachel. I am guessing that his father
had one of the many "interesting" Gray names (such as Pinkney or Ithamer),
since it was unreadable in both the Indiana Quaker records AND the NC reco rds.
