Obituary:
- Weymouth Bradford STAFFORD
POWELLS POINT – Weymouth Bradford STAFFORD, 50, died Monday evening in the Albemarle Hospital. He was a native of Elizabeth City. He was the son of Shirley Anderson Stafford COPELAND and the late Ernest Halton STAFFORD and husband of Frances White STAFFORD. He was a supervisor for the Carolina Telephone Company and a member of the First Christian Church and a member of the Stingray Anglers Fishing Team. He was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters: Cheryl MANSFIELD of Shiloh and Lynn BARNHILL of Elizabeth City; one son, Brad STAFFORD, JR. of Powells Point; and one granddaughter, Hannah BARNHILL of Elizabeth City. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Evangelical Methodist Church by Dr. Art WILT and Rev. M.L. BLOODWORTH. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery.
