  [TryMerge Johnson.FTW] The 1910 census lists her as Myrle. Evelyn Ruth Johnson Frankenberry sa ys that she always assumed her name to be spelled Merle, but that wou ld be from only having heard the name, so it is possible that Myrle is t he correct spelling. Evelyn also advised that Merle's sister-in-law, Gold ie (wife of James Olan Johnson) died young, and Merle (and sister, Glad ys Johnson Grimes) took the three children -- Mary, Gerald, and Dani el to raise.
