The 1920 and 1930 US Federal Census indicates that George Gibson was bo rn in Pennsylvania, and both of his parents were born in England. The 19 00 Census for Fayette County, Springhill Township, PA, ED 53, Sheet 5-B sh ows a Gibson family with George, Head of household, his wife, Esther, bo th born in England, and 5 children, including George S. Gibson, age 13, bo rn May 1887. George and Esther's first child, son William, was born in En gland in 1883, and the next child, daughter Louise, was born in Pennsylvan ia in 1885.
Also, found in the Social Security Death Index is George Gibson, SSN 193-0 3-3083, born 26 May 1877, died July 1976, with the last residence being Br idgeville, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Bridgeville is not far from Ca nonsburg, where George and Eunice Johnson Gibson had their home.
