  [TryMerge Johnson.FTW] Evelyh Johnson Frankenberry related that Carl Liston was an excellent sing er, and sang on a Maryland radio station (in the mid-1930s), where he w as known as "The Singing Troubador." The Social Security Death Index information fits with other known facts ab out this family. The obituary of Carl's mother, Josie Q. Liston, states t hat she died in National City, CA, and was living in Chula Vista, CA, whe re she made her home with son Charles. It also is logical that Carl's Soc ial Security Number was issued in the state of MD, based upon informati on that he was singing on a radio station there in the 1930s.
