Caroline Staffo rd Forbes, in her "Descendants of James Stafford" posted on the Monongal ia Co., WV GenForum 14 Jan 1004, shows Clara Belle Stafford, b. 1886, marr ied Luther C. Johnson. Luther Johnson, son of Richard M. and Christ a, is buried with them at Mt. Union Cemetery. On the death certificate f or Clara Belle Stafford's mother, Cynthia Ann Smith Stafford, Mrs. Clara F urman was the informant of her death (in 1933). Certificate of death f or Clarence Lloyd Furman shows that he was the widower of Clara Stafford F urman. In Mt. Union Cemetery, buried with Luther Johnson is a Beatrice, 1906-191 0. It seems most likely that Beatrice was the daughter of Luther Johns on and Clara Belle Stafford, and that they both died of an epidemic or con tagious disease.
