• Notes

  The enumerator for the 1930 Census for Chugwater, Platte Co., WY was Cliff ord J. Stafford. While Zazel is an unusual name and would be a hazardo us one for enumerators, it is a bonus to have its accuracy supported by h er husband's spelling in the census. Clifford's World War I draft registration occurred on 5 Jun 1917 at the lo cal board for Goshen Co., Wyoming. It shows past military service as Nati onal Guard, Infantry, 2 1/2 years, Co.I, Wyoming. He also indicated th at his parents and six-year-old brother were solely dependent on him for s upport, but the registration clerk noted: "Question No. 9 is not correct f ather owns 320 acres."
