The following obituary for research only because of name:
Mrs. Helen Wilson McCarter, a resident of 617 E. State Ave., went to be wi th the Lord on April 19, 2003 at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born Feb. 28, 1930 in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late Conr ad Samuel and Dona Thomerson Wilson.
A resident of this area since 1942, she was a member of Lebanon United Met hodist Church and the Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class and was act ive with United Methodist Women.
On Nov. 10, 1950, she married Thomas James "Jimmy" McCarter, who surviv es of the home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ma ry Anne Wilson in 1942.
Also surviving are two children, Debra McCarter of the home and Dennis McC arter and wife, Beverly, of 1614 Johnson St., High Point; a grandson, Andr ew McCarter of High Point; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Jo Anne Sexton of Hi gh Point and Mrs. Margie Hedrick of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; several nieces, neph ews and cousins.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lebanon United Methodist Chur ch by the Rev. Roland Jones. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park C emetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at Cumby Family Funeral Ser vice in High Point and other times at the home of her son, Dennis McCarter .
