- LEWISVILLE - Mrs. Doris Tuttle Hester, 74, of Lewisville died Friday, Mar ch 19, 2004, at Forsyth Medical Center after a period of declining healt h.
Mrs. Hester was born Dec. 3, 1929, in Forsyth County to Hobert Samuel a nd Essie Gertrude Crews Tuttle. She enjoyed the Joy Club at Lewisville Bap tist Church and was an avid movie fan. She also enjoyed television and ga me shows and was a faithful Wake Forest University Deacon fan.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Robert "Pete" Hes ter. Mrs. Hester is survived by two daughters, Joy H. Stokes and husban d, Dr. Olen Stokes, and Jill H. Robertson and husband, Scott; three grandc hildren, Heather Stokes, Brian Stokes and Emma Jane Robertson; and three b rothers and a sister, J.T. Tuttle and wife, Jean, Hobert Wade Tuttle, Mar ie Tuttle Vaughn and husband, Ronnie, and Richard Gray Tuttle.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 22, at Pfaffto wn Christian Church with burial to follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memo ry in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Ma rch 21, at Vogler & Sons Main Street Chapel.
