David. In memory of David Witt, a native of State of Virginia, born 1/15/1 772, departed this life 4/15/1835. For more than 30 years prior to his dea th, he had been a resident of this country, during which time he w on to a large degree the confidence of his fellow citizsens, his life of j ust and honorable conduct in his private transactions and by a firm, indep endent and patriotic career as a public man. Often called upon to represe nt this county in the State Legislature and was chosen to preside over t he Representative branch in the discharge of the important duties of eve ry station, he displayed a sagacity and sound judgment, which link ed to an unbending integrity rendered him public benefactor in the charact er of a public servant._ Ann Oliva, wife of William | Infant child of A nn Olivia Middleton Witt born 2/16/1844 | Nancy, wife of David, died 6/23/ 1861
