- LEMAR KERNERSVILLE Ethel Mae Lemar January 8, 1923 - May12, 2012 Ethel Mae Lemar, 89, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at her home. Ethel was born January 8, 1923 in Forsyth County to the late Jasper and Lilly Roach Lemar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and seven sisters. Ethel leaves behind a legacy of family, friends and loved ones.She was a mother to many and a friend to all. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kernersville Friends Meeting, 320 North Main Street, Kernersville, NC 27284. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com. "God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be; So he put his arms around you,and whispered, "Come unto me." With tearful eyes we watched yousuffer, and saw you fall away; Although we couldn't bear to lose you, we couldnot ask you to stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands laid to rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us, that he only takes the best."
