Glenda Amos Stafford
August 26, 1937 - May 21, 2017
Glenda Amos Stafford was called home to her heavenly Father on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Pennybyrn at Maryfield after a long but brave battle with Parkinson's disease.
She was born on August 26, 1937 to Harry and Vivian Martin Amos in Greensboro, NC.
Glenda married Glenn Stafford on February 11, 1956 and together they grew their family with sons, Greg and Scott and daughter, Kristal.
Glenda was a wonderful caring wife, mother, and friend to so many. Glenda worked with GMAC and retired after 41 years of service.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; son Greg and daughter Kristal.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband Glenn P. Stafford; son, Scott Stafford and wife Missy, Kenny Newton; grandsons, Caison Newton and Devin Vaughn; brothers, Donald Amos and wife Joann of TN and Ronald Amos and wife Carolyn of SC; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Glenda is also survived by her wonderful group of lifelong friends who she loved so much.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday 11:00 am at Gate City Baptist Church on Hilltop Road with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:30 pm till 8:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Pennybyrn at Maryfield for their tireless care and love for Glenda. They have become a part of our family.
