- Christine Neher, 86, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at 6:15 PM in Grace Village Rehab, Winona Lake, Indiana.
She was born November 19, 1924 to Ervin J. and Ethel Marie (Ogle) Stafford. Christine was a graduate of Westfield High School, Westfield, Indiana.
On March 25, 1950 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Christine and Ivan D. Neher were married. They moved to Warsaw where they lived until their deaths.
Christine was a quality Assurance Inspector for Chamberlain Products in South Whitley, Indiana for 12 years retiring in 1980. She enjoyed word searches, Monopoly, was an avid cards player and was a diehard Cubs fan. Christine was passionate about her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Fay Neher of Claypool, Indiana; 2 daughters and their husbands: Connie and Bob Hite of Akron, Indiana and Debbie and Ben Crump of Warsaw, Indiana; 7 grandchildren: Jodean, Stephanie, Torie, Jared, Jason, Justin and Matt; 10 great grandchildren: Damion, Sunshine, Summer, Jeremiah, Naaman, Gregory, Anna, Jacob, Darren and Dustine.
Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan D. Neher (January 10, 1994); 2 brothers: Lloyd Stafford and Nolan Stafford; 2 sisters: Virginia and Deanavaughn.
There will be no visitation.
A graveside service will take place Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 11 AM in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford of First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County officiating.
