In 1773 James Stafford is living near Fishing Creek, South Carolina. He is listed on a land acquisition.
In 1784 an Arthur Stafford gets land on Beaver Dam Creek branch off the Tyger River in Ninety Six District.
In 1786 Isham Stafford gets a 640 acre land grant in Ninety Six District on Thickety Creek, which could have put him in York or Union Districts, SC. This is less than fifteen miles from Arthur’s land.
All of these land acquisitions are listed in the South Carolina State Archives and all are within 15 miles of each other.
In 1790 there is a John Stafford living in York County with a son the age of Noah.
These Staffords could be related.
