Mrs. McCachren, age 92 of 305 School Circle, Harrisburg, NC, died Friday, August 15, 2008 at Hospice House Kannapolis. A funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Monday, August 18, 2008 at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church. Officiating ministers are Rev. John Muse and Rev. Charles M. Efird. Burial will follow at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Harrisburg. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. The family will be at the home of her daughter Becky at 305 School Circle, Harrisburg.
Mrs. McCachren was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a life long member of Harrisburg Presbyterian Church. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; daughter, Rebecca 'Becky' M. Howell of Harrisburg, NC, sons; Yates M. 'Teddy' McCachren & wife Linda of Harrisburg, NC and Gary S. McCachren and wife Bettie of Semora, NC, grandchildren; Joseph Keith Foster and wife Tina, Deborah M. Hancock and husband Sean, Michael C. McCachren, Scott J. McCachren and wife Lacy, Regina M. Horner and husband Brian, Teri Lyn McCachren, great grandchildren; Brian Foster, Tonya Foster, Jason Foster, Myles McCachren, McKenzie Horner, Madisson Horner, Samuel Horner, Jonah Horner, and sister; Mary Elizabeth Oglesby of Harrisburg, NC. She is also survived by 6 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Yates M. 'Ted' McCachren, whom she married on June 2, 1934, grandson; David K. Foster, father; Zeb M. Stafford, mother; Lula Mae 'Barbee' Stafford.
