  Eli sold 210 acres on the watershed of Hyco and Cobbs Creeks on 23 Apr 1832. The family then moved to Fayette Co., TN. Performed jury duty in Fayette Co., TN in Jul 1834. 1835, purchase 250 acres in Fayette Co. His land was next to Jesse Harrison and his brother James Stafford. Eli Stafford again bought land on 27 November 1838 in Fayette Co., TN. Eli is named in his father Laban Stafford's 1811 Caswell Co., NC Will. Eli is one of the 4 sons for whom Laban directed that a land division be made. Eli sold 210 acres on the watershed of Hyco and Cobbs Creeks on 23 Apr 1832. The family then moved to Fayette Co., TN. Performed jury duty in Fayette Co., TN in Jul 1834. 1835, purchased 250 acres in Fayette Co. His land was next to Jesse Harrison and his brother James Stafford. Eli Stafford again bought land on 27 November 1838 in Fayette Co., TN. Eli died in 1839. In Court Minutes, Book A, page 428, Sept. 3, 1839, John Bradsher is appointed Administrator along with Lewis Amis (their clergyman) of the estate of Eli Stafford, dec'd. Entering into bond along with John Bradsher were Jesse Harrison & Thos. Eskridge. (Thomas Eskridge was husband to Phoebe Stafford, another daughter of Eli Stafford.) (The brothers Thomas Eskridge & Walker Eskridge are nephews of Mary "Polly" Eskridge who married James Stafford.) -- MERGED NOTE ------------ Eli is named in his father Laban Stafford's 1811 Caswell Co., NC Will.
