  Description: What written record is there that Laban Stafford, Jr.'s wife was an "Ellie"? 1850 Jackson Co., TN census lists Laban Jr.'s widow in the household of Redden Pippin. Redden Pippin was married to the daughter (Sarah/Sally) of Laban Stafford, Jr. & his wife Margaret. Ruth Stafford Hodge, a Stafford researcher in Jackson Co, TN, identifies Margaret's surname as Stevens. Ruth said she would send me a copy of the marriage record for Laban Jr. & Margaret Stevens, but as yet I have not received any such record.
