Irwin, Lora June, age 89 of Middletown, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 12, 2013. She was born on November 5, 1923, in Logan, West Virginia to parents Sanford Jackson and Dora Ann Stafford. She was then raised in Laurel, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Dutch Irwin; brothers, Harry, Fred, Bill, Roy, Alton, and Shorty Stafford; sisters, Ginger Bowling (Earl), Kate, Violet, and Ossie. She leaves behind a devoted family who will always remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished her family and will forever be etched in their hearts. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Denny Rose; grandson, Kevin Rose (Alice); great-grandchildren, Ty and Zach Rose; nephews, Cody Bowling and Mickey Stafford; nieces, Barbara, Jean, Joe, Linda and Sue Ann; special family friends, Pam Gibbs and Kathryn Ingram, and also many other extended family members and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Inn at Renaissance Village and the nurses of Hospice of Dayton. June worked her entire life and retired from Gough Lamb Cleaners. She accepted the Lord as her savior at Gospel Baptist Church. She was a resident of the Inn at Renaissance Village for 3 ˝ years where she formed many friendships and attended church. She was a master in the kitchen, a wizard at crossword puzzles, and loved shopping sprees with her daughter. June always put others before herself, nurturing those less fortunate than her.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Brother Charles Denny officiating. Visitations will be held one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 PM. Entombment will be at the Woodside Mausoleum.
