VIOLET BRUMFIELD
(1907-1992)
Violet B. Brumfield, 84, of Mouth of Holly Creek Road, Vanceburg, Ky., died unexpectedly Sunday, May 10, 1992, at home.
Born June 15, 1907, at Head of Grassy, Ky., a daughter of the late Sanford J. and Sylvena Morgan Stafford, she was a member of Garrison (Ky.) Church of Christ and retired from U.S. Shoe Corp. of Vanceburg, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Flinders, in 1964; her second husband, Clem Brumfield, in 1983; four brothers, Roy, Savle, William and Alton Stafford; two half brothers, Harry and Fred Stafford; and two sisters, Ocie Brunner and Kate Bloomfield.
Surviving are two half sisters, Ginger Bowling of Indianapolis, Ind., and June Irwin of Middletown; and several nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg, with the Rev. Fred Garrett officiating, and interment in Lewis County (Ky.) Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until the services Wednesday.
