• Notes

  Bradley and Virginia had no children. He served in the Army during World War II. Entered active duty 12 Apr 1941with his National Guard unit (29th Infantry Division). He participated in the assault on OMAHA Beach, June 6, 1944 during the invasion of France. Assigned to an artillery battalion in the 29th Infantry Division as a gunnery Seargent, he succeeded in getting ashore the only 105mm howitzer able to fire on enemy until late on D-Day. He continued to serve in Europe until the Germans surrendered. He returned to civilian Life after the war ended in the Pacific. He sold automobiles in Petersburg until his retirement in 1972.[Stafford.FTW]
