• Notes

  TOMAS, our earliest known Vacek ancestor, lived in the village of Peralec in the second half of the 18th century. After TOMAS' son, JOSEF married KATERINA DIVOKY, the family moved to Predni Borek, a very small hamlet of only five houses which is part of Borek, meaning a "small Pine Tree grove". Borek is located in the Parish of Predhradi ( Rychmburk, in German) approximately 9 miles ( 15 kilometers} east of the Parish of Prosec. The other part of Borek is called Zadni Borek, a village of about 25 houses.
