• Notes

  Valentine Pegg became a Quaker. After the death of his first wife, (Mary Stafford) in 1790, he married his second wife, the widow Mary Cook, whose maiden surname was "Mills". He and Mary (Mills/Cook) migrated to the Whitewater MM, Wayne Co., IN, Dec. 31, 1812 where Valentine died on Nov. 24, 1828. He is buried at the Old Friends Burying Ground, Whitewater.
