• Notes

  Records of 25 Aug 1778 show that Thomas was in the South Carolina infantry during the Revolutionary War. He was a Corporal under the leadership of Colonel Isaac Mottle. His name appears on the muster rolls of the Grenadier Co., 2nd Reg, SC Infantry. Date of muster was 4 Jan 1777. Became a Georgia citizen on 4 Aug 1788 and was elected on 6 Apr 1789 as one of three delegates to the Georgia State Convention. Thomas ran for Justice of Peace in 1789 and took his oath of office 12 Sep 1789.
