Operated a Beauty Shop at home for 20 years

Mrs. Bridget M. Loftus. 67, of 706 Propect Ave. died this m orning after a
long illness.
Born in Jessup, daughter of the late James and Honora Sweeney Connors,
she lived in South Scranton
30 years. Her husband Wi lliam F. died in 1944, Prior to her retrement she
operated a beauty shop at h er
home address for 20 years. Mrs. Loftus was a member of the Church of the
Nativity and its Altar and
Rosary Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Eggbert, Lagramge, Ill. and Mrs.
Celestine Delaney Kingston;
two sons, Joseph W., Buffalo, and John F. this city; two sisters, Mrs
Ligouri livsey a nd Mrs. Florence Connors, Jessup; four brothers, John
Connors, Buffalo; Thom as, Denver, Col.; Stephen, Peckville and Terrence,
Archbald and 11 grandchil dern.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9 A.M. from the Strauch Funeral Home 602
Birch St, with a Mass at 9:30 in the Church of the Nativity
Burial, Cathed ral Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home starting
tomorrow from and 7 to 10 P.M.
