From the Faribault Republican, July 13, 1892:
Wife of John F. Grant, died very suddenly of heart disease Wednesday evening last, July 6, at her home in the town of Warsaw. She was apparently in her usual health when she retired, but soon complained of a smothering sensation and getting up went and took a seat near an open door. She expressed a fear that she might be going to die and a messenger was sent for a physician, but the boy had scarcely left the house when she expired. Her remains were buried Saturday in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Deceased was better known in the community as Mrs. C. A. Merrill, she and Mr. Grant having been married scarcely more than a month.
