  Harriet Ann Ward was born in Plymouth July 29, 1829, and died May 16, 1909. She married Isaac Duane Stafford in 1853. She was a great-granddaughter of the Rev. Nathan Ward, the first Congregational minister in Plymouth, and spent nearly all her life in this place. In 1848 she joined that church and was a devoted member until her death. She has an own daughter of Zilpha Ward and Moses Hull, but was adopted very early in life by her uncle, Isaac Ward. She was one of the oldest residents, and was always interested in the welfare and advancement of her native town. She was a devoted Christian, and her life was an example for all. Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C.W. Wilson of that church. Interment at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. W.H.
