  Name Prefix: Sir. Thomas John Watson was knighted. There was a JohnWatson who was an admiral in the British Navy known as The High Boss of many ships at sea thatfirst came to America in 1700. This John Watson may have been Thomas' father. Thomas was sentenced to be executed and left for America about 1745, hiswife seems to have went with him, but some of his children remained inGreat Britian. When he was pardoned he went back to Britian and brought the rest of his family over in 1777. DunravenCastle was built in the 12th century in the Vale of Glamorgan in Wales. It was demolished after WorldWar 11. The 1782 tax record shows a Thomas Watson senior owning 200 acres of landin Pittsylvania County Virginia. I also have him listed as born in 1703 in Hanover County, Virginia
