Third District, Sitting at Hernando - In the County of DeSoto.
Your Petitioner - John B. Stafford - a Citizen of DeSoto County - would respectfully show that on the day of April __ 1878 - Permelia Anna Hinson- departed this life intestate in Said County leaving the following
personal property - Viz - Dun Bay - fully valued at about Seventy five dollars - Two Cows and Calves and One Yearling of the value of Twenty five dollars - Some Hogs - Household and Kitchen furniture of the valueof about Thirty dollars.
Your Petitioner further states that in addition to the above Property -There is about Ninety dollars due her which descends to her from the estate of her Father.
The said decedent left us her children and heirs at law - Two Children- aged respectively - One Year, and One Month. Petitioner now states that in order that the property of said decedent may be preserved
and the amount due her collected - it is necessary that an Administrator be appointed. - That he is the brother of said decedent - That her husband abandoned her during the year 1877 - and his whereabouts are unknown - Wherefore, Petitioner prays that Letters of Administration begranted him upon the estate of said Permelia Anna Hinson. dec'd. Upon his executing the Bond required by Law.

JOHN B. STAFFORD - a Citizen of Said County Shows - That in May 1878 -he qualified in Said County as Administrator of the estate of his then recently deceased sister - Permelia A. Hinson - That the only assets of said estate which came to his hands - or knowledge - was $90.00 received from W.M. Watson. And $38.50 collected as rent for the land of said decedent - in all - $128.50 - And has paid out for said estate $140.01 -being all for preferred debts - due from said estate - to wit - Formedical attendance during the last illness of said decedent - To R.J.Lyles and W.? Ramsey - for Coffin - Burial Clothes and Taxes. The only exception to this preferred list is the debt due R.T. Peterson. It is a personal debt.
Said decedent left no personal estate subject to the payment of her debts. Except said $90.00.
And she owned One Hundred & Fifty Acres of Land - part of which was subject to payments of her debts.
Petitioner desired to save all said land for the children of said decedent - and therefore paid said debts - being willing to lose all he has paid out over the receipts - and he asks no Commissions or allowance for Attorneys Fees - which he has paid during the Administration. Said decedent left surviving her -
as her sole heirs - Two Children - Malinda Hinson - now six years old -and - Annie Hinson - now three years old - Both of whom reside in Said County with Petitioner - and they have no Guardian.
Petitioner files herewith his Final Settlement of said Administration- Showing a balance due him from
said estate of $11.51 - without any charge for Commissions - Attorney sFees or Costs of Court,
and with proper vouchers for all credits asked - Petitioner asks that process issue to bring in - Said Heirs - Malinda and Annie Hinson - as Parties Defendant to this Petitioners said Final Settlements -
That on Final Hearing - Said amounts be approved as a correct Final Settlement of Said Administration -
and that he be discharged from all further Liability on said Accounts for General Relief.

CASE 1195. J.B. Stafford -Administrator FINAL SETTLEMENT
This cause came on to be heard this day upon the Final Settlement and Petition for Discharge of
J.B. Stafford - Administrator of the estate of Permelia Hinson - deceased- And the defendants to said
Settlement and Petition being Minors without Guardians and properly before the court by summons served - according to Law - And the court having carefully examined said Final Settlement - finds the same to be correctly stated - and having heard the Petition - is satisfied the same is true. And that all
disbursements made by said Administrator - for which he asks credit in said Settlement - were properly made in satisfaction of debts ??? due from said estate - for all which proper legal vouchers are filed.
And the court being further satisfied, that said Administrator - who isthe Uncle said defendants - in all
his acts as such - desired to and did promote the interests of said estate and Minors - And that his action as such should be approved -Therefore, It is ordered that said accounts - which shows - a full
disbursement of all funds received by said Administrator - and nothing in his hands for costs -
be approved as a correct Final Settlement of said Administration - And that said Administrator - on his paying all costs due from him be fully discharged from all further liability on said accounts - And that all
proceedings in this cause be Recorded, Ordered, Adjudged and Served -This October 1881.
