• Notes

  The Rambo family seems to have owned a lot of land in the Lexington district of South Carolina, Daniel and Samuel also bought more. In 1813 they bought 789 acres from Jacob Ness. They paid the large sum of $50 for the land. Daniel also sold 300 acres of his father's land in 1820. He and Samuel made a fortune rafting logs down the Edistoe River the Charleston. There it sold for a very good profit. See page 161 in Beverly Rambo's book for details of land transactions.
