  Willard G Stafford, 81, of 351 N 12th St died Monday at the 6:45pm in the Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where he had been a patient since April 9. He was the husband of Norma L (Hilzinger) Stafford. Born in Shillington, he was a son of hte late James and Mabel (Bixler) Stafford. Stafford was employed for 10 years as a guard for the Birdsboro Steel Corp., retiring in 1981. He was a 1934 graduate of the former Shillington High School. Stafford was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Stafford is also survived by a daughter, JoAnne, wife of Richard T Franco, Reading, and a grandaughter. Services will be Friday at 1 pm in Laureldale Chapel in Laureldale Cemetery. Edward J Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.  Reading Eagle, May 28, 1997
