Buried:
- A resident of Walker, she died at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 1997, at Columbia Medical Center. She was 97 and a native of Oldfield.
Visiting was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel 9 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Merelin McCon and the Rev. David Lawrence. Interment in Hiram Stafford Cemetery.
Survived by a daughter, Oudrey Broskey, Baton Rouge; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Hiram and Evelyn Stafford, Noah Nelson and Steve and Joan Stafford, all of Walker; a sister, Carrie Collins; a daughter-in-law, Marvelle Stafford; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer McCauley, Theresa Optiz, Carol Lyn, Billy and Margaret Borskey, Randall, John and Allison Stafford, Amanda Newcomer, Stevie and Jason Stafford, Billy Chandler and Shannon Guidroz; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband, Lodney Stafford; two sons, Bryant and Raymond Stafford; two daughters-in-law, Anita and Laura Stafford; a son-in-law, Caroll Borskey; seven brothers and two sisters.
She was a member of Judson Baptist Church.
