- 1072 - Made a grant to Evesham Abbey of Wrottesley and Loynton.
1086 - Sherriff, Staffs.
Held the manors of Haughton and 'Bughale' and may other manors in Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Linconshire etc -1086
As a monk and lying sick at Evesham Abbey, renewed his grant to the Abbey and directed that he, his wife and his son Nicholas should be buried there.
[2][+]Robert (Robert de Stafort, "Roberti de Staffort filli Rogeri de Toenio") d. 1088 who was made Governor of Stafford Castle, erected by the Conqueror, and from that fact is believed to have taken name of Stafford
